Creating a gold-themed wedding can add extra sparkle to any event. But a nugget of gold or two is perfect for an Alaskan wedding, where panning for the precious metal is part of the state’s tradition.

Kristina and Brian incorporated gold elements with a tasteful eye. Hints of gold could be found throughout the event, which was held at the Chena Hot Springs Resort just north of Fairbanks, AK. Spirals of gold sprang from the bride’s white rose bouquet and complimented her jeweled tiara. The ballroom was lined with gold-painted ceilings. Yummy pumpkin cupcakes were topped with swirls of cream icing and golden sprinkles. And of course, there were real gold nuggets on display in the design of the couple’s wedding rings, from Bishop’s Jewelers.
